Beach Parks

Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park allows travelers access to zipling, snorkeling in the lagoon, swimming with dolphins, and a variety of bars and eateries. The beach park is about a 20-minute drive away.

Punta Sur is an ecological reserve that’s popular for bird watchers, boat tours on the Colombia Lagoon, off-road vehicle tours, and scuba diving at the Devil’s Throat. The ecological reserve is about an hour’s drive from the Flamingo.


San Gervasio Mayan Ruins

Discover this 10th-century ruin, built in dedication to the Goddess Ixchel. Walk around this historic site and learn more about the island from tour guides or posted signs.
